Vital Link

As functioning humans in society, many of us have lost our vital link to nature. We have forgotten the pivotal role that nature plays in our growth and wellbeing.

We have reduced nature to nothing more than annoying weather and pesky wildlife. Reduced it to something that stands in our way of a self-proclaimed good time or dirty profit. In doing so, we are robbing nature of its majestic, pure, effortless beauty, and we are sabotaging our rightful place here, as well as that of our children.

We are misguidedly polluting and denying the freedom and healing that nature offers us abundantly, for nothing more than some respect. We are refusing to evolve with it. We are pushing nature to breaking point. Exploited, decimated and left struggling to sustain the pressure we put on it every second of every day.

Yet, nature isn’t going anywhere, it’s here to stay, even if we struggle to survive, it will evolve with or without us. So the question is, for how long can we go on expecting someone else to save us? What are we waiting for? How many more genocides, extinctions, enslavements do we need to participate in and contribute to before we realise it doesn’t have to be this way?

When will we step into our natural evolution, recognise what is actually in our shared interests as parts of nature? When will we act? When will we wake up to the power nature is offering to each and every one of us? When will we take charge, protect ourselves, our future and most importantly our home, the planet we all find ourselves on together?

The time is now. If you are reading this, you can do anything, no matter how small it may feel. The main thing is to do something, anything and build momentum from there. Make your existence count, and if you need help, ideas, rant space, just holla at me, I got you.
Together, we got this. 💙

“I often find that people confuse inner peace with some sense of insensibility whenever something goes wrong. In such cases inner peace is a permit for destruction. The unyielding optimist will pretend that the forest is not burning either because he is too lazy or too afraid to go and put the fire out.”
